Before breakfast we walked up the hill behind the
hotel to the sound of nightingales. There was a field
with lady orchids. After
breakfast we went to the Peschiki area and after lunch on to the area

We had lunch in an olive grove with derelict buildings; the
birders saw a Montague's Harrier, red-rumped swallows, bee-eaters, a
hobby, whinchat and Jack snipe. The spiralling roads
made me glad to have my wrist bands. |
