HOMEABROADENGINEERINGMAINLY CAKESLINKSPETER DUNCAN

The Lycian Coast

Sunday 6th April

We drove very slowly up Olympos Dagi along a rock strewn road with some dodgy moments.   The driver was magnificent.   We found a yellow romulea and a Galanthus elwesii at Uçoluk, but not a great deal else.   We had an early lunch as Pierre and Michelle were moving on to Tajikistan.

We had a look round Phaselis on Adrasan Bay.   A couple were having wedding photos taken at the theatre.   Phil saw some dragonflies at a muddy pond and we saw some of them.  A kingfisher posed, but not near enough for a snap.   We went on to walk by a stream and saw many birds in a meadow, including a woodpecker, bulbil, hoopoe, woodchat and plover.
