Another cold night, I will bring
my slippers on the next holiday… We stopped to buy bread on the way to
the Imbros Gorge then on to a pancake (Sfakian Pie) and coffee place. We walked down the
gorge a distance of about 5 miles which was quite rubbly underfoot and
so our legs and particularly knees were tired. We had butter beans
(H) and
rabbit (P) with mushrooms for dinner. |

We stopped in Imbros Village for a Sfakian Pie, I had a wonderful squeezed

We walked down the Imbros
Gorge at the south of the island. This is the habitat of numerous
endemic Cretan plants, as well as offering some spectacular scenery.
The walk was about 8km / 5 miles and rough and rubbly underfoot in
places and so our legs and particularly knees were tired. We were
glad of our poles towards the bottom of the
gorge. We had butter beans and
rabbit with mushrooms for dinner. |
